It was freshman year at Baylor University in a lecture hall of 100+ students. Jacob saw Kaiya walk in with a friend and they sat behind him. He overheard her friend talking about how she wanted to meet new people but she thought it was hard. Kaiya told her “it’s not hard! all you have to do is tap someone on the shoulder and say hi.” So she tapped Jacob on the shoulder and did just that! He was smiling because he’d heard the whole conversation and they didn’t know that.
The next day Jacob saw them in chemistry class and went to sit next to them. They’ve all been friends ever since! He took special interest in Kaiya, but maintained the friendship for a year and a half before dating. Secretly, he always knew there was something about her!
This is also Josh’s little brother, so helping these two create memories of a such a special time in their lives was so important to us! Congratulations these two. We’re so excited about our growing family!
