On December 30, 2019, Lois Evans passed away. To us, she was just Nonny.
A lot of what you see today, whether it be in Josh and I’s personal lives or in our business, was inspired by Nonny. We are blessed to live the lives we do today because of her commitment and faithfulness to her marriage, motherhood, and ministry.
It was through Nonny’s faithfulness and commitment that I am able to be a good wife to Josh and a blessing to husbands and wives that come through our business.
When Josh and I were getting ready to be married, Nonny wrote in a letter to me: “Build a vision for your family that incorporates two individual people with different strengths and aspirations. Make it all work together so you grow closer as a unit and not apart, going in the same direction with your uniqueness’s. The goal is unity, not sameness. Use your gifts to contribute to the building up of your home and family. Support each other in fully becoming who you are gifted to be.”
It is through her words of wisdom that we are able to build our own legacy of impacting marriages to bring glory to the Kingdom.
Nonny, thank you for your incredible example and your impactful legacy. Without you, our business, our marriage and our family wouldn’t be where they are today. We promise you that we won’t drop the baton. We will pass it, again and again and again our marriage, in our mother and fatherhood, and in our ministries. We love you.
