Can we give y’all a little throwback? Chaz and Alexiss’ story began back in 2010 on the campus of Texas A&M. A mutual friend’s party brought the two together and sparked their initial conversation. They had to part ways, but soon found one another on Facebook. They’d talked casually talked for about a year before their official first date, but they’ve been inseparable ever since!

Later down the road, Chaz suggested a new restaurant called the McGovern (the couple had become foodies who love pop-ups and local eats together). Alexiss admitted being hangry at the moment, but as a little more time passed, she found herself listening to the distant sound of a violin playing “The Best Part” by H.E.R and Daniel Ceasar. [Think she knew something was up by this point?] Chaz guided her around the corner to where their families were, leading her through rose petals in the shape of a heart. He popped the question, and she said YES!

While we’ve since had the pleasure of capturing our friends’ engagement AND wedding photos, we couldn’t help but look back on their story and share with you guys. We’re beyond thrilled for this special couple!
