Suzana and Paul’s story reminds me how normal things are turned into beautiful memories when you get to do it with the one you love. I had such a fun time shooting these two at the Dallas Arboretum and let me just say I’ve had many a photo shoot at the Arboretum but the way these two lit up the scenery in their own unique way made it such a joy to capture them.
Suzana and Paul’s story starts at a pond in Westlake and as you stand at the waters edge you gaze out your eyes enamored with the way the sun glistens and dances on the water. There are birds, ducks, and turtles all around adding to the serenity of brought about whenever one is surrounded with lots of beautiful greenery on a sunny afternoon. They made their way down to the water’s edge and decided to skip rocks on the pond, isn’t that so fun and reminiscent of childhood? The ability to go to the park with someone you love and skip rocks and have the time of your life is beautiful and where true love is built more than the big extravagant moments. Okay back to the story, like I said there they are in this beautiful whimsical scene with the birds and the greenery skipping rocks. As you can imagine Suzana is focused on getting her rock to skip when before she knows it her hard concentration is interrupted with Paul getting down on one knee followed with the big question. She is shocked, naturally, and the only words she can utter are OMG over and over. Eventually her brain catches up with her emotion and she quickly spits out the words yes
