Somewhere in between Aaqila becoming my next friend after she moved to Texas from California in the 2nd grade, middle school girl awkwardness, being college roommates at Baylor, and learning what adulting looks like, Aaqila was becoming the woman who would make Najee whole. Nothing could have made me happier than to have our associates photograph my sweet friend’s special day. But I definitely turned from bridesmaid into photographer for their bride/groom portraits!
