We’re approaching the holidays, y’all! I don’t know about you, but this time of year always manages to creep up on us. We know the importance of family photos, but with everything we have going on from raising small kids to running a business, year after year, it ends up not ranking as high as we’d wished on our priority list. We wanted to find a way to help not only ourselves, but YOU, change that! Holiday Minis have been our solution in relieving our own struggle of pulling together everything that goes into family photos, but we’ve put together a few tips for achieving the perfect family portraits.
Key Takeaways:
Wardrobe – Plan in advance, come as a unit but not in uniform!
Prep the kids – Make sure they’re fed and well-rested so that bribes aren’t the first option.
Go with the flow- let the photographer, whether it’s us (we hope it’s us!) or someone else, guide you through it. Have fun with it!
Don’t ask the kids to smile, DO something to make them smile!
Time/location – 60-90 minutes is okay for older kids, but 20-30 minutes seems to work better for smaller kids. Whether it’s indoor/outdoor, pick a location conducive to your family’s needs!
We hope we’ve helped relieve a little stress during this holiday season. As stated in the video, if you need more hands-on attention, we still have some Christmas Mini Session openings available that will suit your family’s needs:
