Jalissa and Drew are THE couple. This duo and their chemistry come across so evidently in their images that just looking at them makes me radiate with the feeling of joy and love! Their day took place in the Iron Manor in Montgomery TX (outside of Houston) which gave the whole day a rustic sort of romance that reminds us of classic love stories with castles, princesses, and princes. But make no mistake this couple is definitely Queen and King status.
We’ve discussed this story once before but it’s too good to not tell again. Valentine’s Day is a big day for romance and the expression of love so in hopes of differentiating himself and this date Drew decided to set up a couple’s night out a few days AFTER Valentine’s day. Their first stop of the night was at a Murder Mystery Cafe and with it the first surprise of the evening. Drew surprised by having one of Jalissa’s line sisters and her husband meet them at the cafe! Jalissa was equal parts surprised as she was ecstatic to catch up with someone she hadn’t seen in a while. Also I’ll take this opportunity to give Drew props on his thoughtfulness in bringing the friends together, we love to see it.
BUT WAIT there is even more thoughtfulness ahead. We’ll fast forward to the point where the group was deep into the murder mystery. Riddles and clues swirling around in everyone’s mind they took a brief intermission but Jalissa’s mind was still focused on solving the mystery (no intermission for the dedicated am I right?). One of the actresses approached the table and prompted Drew to see if he still wanted to ask his question before they got back into the mystery. Naturally Jalissa was thinking strategy as she started to pull her play money together so she could bribe the characters for some information on the murder. She was too invested in crafting the perfect set of questions to pay much attention to what Drew was quietly saying to the characters. With her play money ready she turns and something she never expected followed. There Drew was, down on one knee asking her to be his wife (eeepppppp!).
Again we have to give Jalissa some credit for her focus on the goal, because amidst the proposal she leans over and asks if this is part of the game or is it for real (If I’m ever solving a murder Jalissa is going to be my first call because this is the dedication I’m looking for). Drew assured her that this was no show but the real deal. Naturally all she manage to come up with in response was curse words (fair). After all the curse words had been released from her system, she confidently accepted his proposal. I think it’s pretty safe to say that Jalissa achieved the dub for the night even if the murder stayed a mystery.
