The Dallas Arboretum set the scene for Tyler and Brian’s romantic spring wedding. These two have one of the sweetest love stories and we can’t wait to share it with you!
How they met
Tyler and Brian met through a mutual friend early in 2017. Tyler wasn’t feeling the high rent in Brooklyn and was planning to move back to her hometown of Dallas. That’s when her friend, Ryan, told her that he had a friend who would be moving there as well and that it would be good for them to connect. However, after exchanging numbers, they went on with their separate lives.
Brian was taking a trip home and he invited Tyler to a Bryson Tiller concert that fall. Indeed, there’s nothing like a little music to bring people together! After the concert, the two of them began to talk and spend more time together. By the end of the year, Tyler had flown to Las Vegas to visit Brian.
The two have been together since that trip and have shared so many new experiences together. They even became the proud parents of a fur baby!
The Proposal
Brian had to move back to the city because of the pandemic, so the two of them went to New York to look for apartments. On Friday evening, they each planned to spend time with their friends. However, Brian wasn’t planning an evening out with the guys. He had a proposal up his sleeve!
He enlisted the help of Tyler’s friend, Christine, to make sure Tyler was in the right spot. Christine then brought her down to Jane’s Carousel, a historic place on the Brooklyn Bridge. When Tyler arrived, Brian was standing on the steps with some of their closest friends and proposed.
Spring Wedding
Who can resist a spring wedding in Texas? The weather is warm, but not boiling hot and the flowers were in bloom at the Dallas Arboretum. The Arboretum is a popular spot for weddings, engagements, and photoshoots for its’ everchanging scenery. As each season passes, a new set of flowers and greenery blooms.
Tyler and Brian’s outdoor wedding brought a little bit of Brooklyn to the South. They really wanted to channel the rooftop aesthetic. The décor did just that! Glowing string lights were strung across the reception area. When the sun set, they cast a warm glow as the guests danced into the night.
