I’m loving Olivia and Duane’s early 2000s aesthetic in these beautiful engagement photos taken in this earthy loft! If you can’t tell from their smiles and energy, they truly are a perfect match. Let me give you a little bit of history…

These two met in college when Olivia’s sister was dating Duane’s friend. They were both the life of the party in those college days, but not anymore. They’ve grown to be a little more low-key. They’ve traded parties for cozy evenings snuggled up with movies and shows. Although they’ve become homebodies, they’re still known to pop out for a fun evening with friends!

Okay, now that you’re all caught up on the happy couple, we can get to the proposal! One of the many things Olivia and Duane have in common is a love for California! They booked a trip out to the sunshine state and Duane knew it was the perfect place for his surprise proposal! Since Olivia loved Greece so much, Duane reserved a boat to take them to the beautiful Catalina Island. If you’ve never seen it, you need to! This gorgeous place is known for its sparkling blue waters and Mediterranean charm.

As the couple walked toward the island’s casino, Olivia thought she saw Duane’s sister! She did! His sister’s hiding spot proved to be a little less than secretive and she couldn’t hide the “I just got caught” expression on her face. Olivia started to wonder if something was about to happen. She didn’t have to wonder for long, because Duane got down on one knee. Olivia didn’t hesitate to say YES!
