If y’all look up “fabulous” in the dictionary this birthday session will (or should) pop up! Chidi was glowing during her birthday shoot at the Lumen Room and I just count myself lucky to capture her beauty in a timeless way. The Lumen room served as the perfect backdrop to highlight the true power and elegance that Chidi embodies. She didn’t need any decor around her because she IS the moment.
Do y’all know the feeling I’m talking about when you find an outfit that makes you feel unstoppable but the only thing standing in your way is that you have no wear to wear it? Well I think I have the solution, ~Birthday Photoshoot~ because when it comes to photoshoots your outfit can never be too much! (At least that’s my philosophy when shooting).
Whether we admit it or not clothes have the power to make us stand a little taller and feel more confident. But since our daily lives don’t lend us the opportunity to wear those outfits very often I see photos as not only an opportunity to wear the power outfits but to also capture ourselves in our best most confident selves. I know for me looking back at photos can serve as an encouragement when I’ve been stuck in the house for a week with my children and haven’t even come close to looking at a bottle of mascara.
So here I am giving you the go ahead to book that shoot and get that power suit, or that dress, or those designer shoes (maybe all three?). Also your birthday photoshoot doesn’t even have to be near your birthday, you always have the excuse of it being an early or late birthday gift.
